Where you give birth to your baby is your choice and you can change your mind at any point during pregnancy.  Health professionals can support you with your decision.

In Lincolnshire, there are two types of birth settings;

• Obstetric unit/hospital.  This is a ward in hospital which is staffed by midwives, obstetricians and other health staff.

• Home birth. This is when midwives come to your home to support you through birth.
