Why have a home birth?

It increases your oxytocin (the love hormone) levels and helps you to stay relaxed

You can feel settled and in charge from the very beginning

Intervention rates are lower for home births

There is less chance of developing an infection

You can prepare your birth space and atmosphere

You can invite whoever you like to be with you during labour

You can cuddle up in your own bed with your newborn

You will have a midwife with you during labour and a second one will be there for your baby's arrival

Speak with your midwife and ask them to make a referral by emailing admin@thebirthpartnership.co.uk.

You will be contacted to confirm your referral and to arrange for the £25 payment to be made.

Your pool will be delivered to you when you are around 36 weeks pregnant so you can familiarise yourself with it before birth.

When you have finished with the pool you can arrange to have it collected online at www.thebirthpartnership.co.uk.

Please note: You are responsible for all equipment during the hire period.

Any damage will be chargeable at cost. We reserve the right to replace the pool style according to demand.
